Video game stereotypes range from the 18 year old basement dweller with no social life, to the psychopathic killer with a distaste and a (surprisingly elaborate) plan to kill his fellow man. I being a 19 year old house dweller with something resembling a social life and a general distrust in my fellow man (I fall in the middle, though a friend and I did think of putting my ravine to good use once) have comprised a list of the kinds of characters in video games, and players you meet online that make you glad they either do not exist, or they live a state or more away.

I kinda figure that if we're all going on a grand odyssey of self-discovery called a facebook quiz set then at least we can be somewhat courteous to the lower rung of society that doesn't want to be invited to find out which twilight character they're like, what color describes them and how it relates to the crime they are most likely to get arrested for (teenagers: Disorderly conduct, adults, murder, elderly, stalkin
Man has navigational issues
A local man is facing embarrassment this morning after a nighttime escapade to an exotic locale got him in even more trouble with another exotic locale close by. He spent about five minutes wandering about the hills before eventually deciding to head south After 4 minutes of what can be described as "the dirtiest place one could imagine being in" The man politely asked for directions, and took the ride all the way
A woman who was with him described the ordeal saying "He just didn't know where to park it"

Anyone who watches MSNBC (anyone? anyone?) or CNN, or Howard Dean for the last 9 years will perceive Rush Limbaugh to be the leader of the Republican. This is used to further perpetuate the idea that conservatives don't have an independent thought in their head. While it is easily agreeable that Limbaugh is the most visible conservative voice in the country, does that necessarily make him the leader?
A strange little factoid: Limbaugh did not write the conservative ideology, yet he is unafraid in terms of speaking his mind about it, has the largest audience in radio and has been called everything under the sun, but has rarely, if ever been d
No dissenting citizenry in the history of the world has ever been a threat to an overbearing tyrannical government without firearms. The people of Nazi Germany were not a threat to Hitler, the Iranian people were not a threat to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the American colonists were a threat to the British Crown. So it is mind boggling how hate speech is covered under the first amendment, and that notion is accepted (albeit with some reluctance) and the second amendment is debated, when it is ultimately the weapon against an overbearing government.
With that said, as the government becomes more involved in citizens lives (the healthcare overhaul t

This was something I wrote for my High School's Spring Comedy. A show whose three year history I go over during the essay (eliminating why I should mention anything here) The essay was originally written at about 3:00 in the morning. And the first paragraph would have been different had I actually published the thing and used it to promote the show.

Both ends of gay marriage
Ok, so there's this thing, lets just call it a ban on Gay marriage (to say "they passed Prop 8" confuses me.) And the people of California, and the Supreme Court passed it. So, the people on the losing side are overtly pissed off, and this battles been going on for 2 years at least. With both sides firing the same damn weapon, with the same damn bullet in the same damn direction...
Those in favor of the gay marriage ban claim two things to be true. That marriage is a religious institution, which it is (why is it done in a church I wonder, why not a courthouse? it has an isle) and that homosexuality is unnatural.
Here's the flaws in one argu

The Truth behind the fly swat
I do think it's kind of sad that I could do this whole thing on the death of a fly by way of the President, and the general two-day long outcry from it, and how it became, and stayed the top-story across the country. I'd like to point out that there are plenty of other things to slam him on (many of which I have done to death) but since both the Right (Fox) and the Left (CNN, PETA) have been yelling about it every minute of their 24-hour news day, I think that for me to write a little blurb on the thing is nothing but an exercise in being part of the "temporary trend" crowd, being bored, and having a hell of a time viciously insulting others
"It was his time".
It's what everyone says about a loved one who died. It is sometimes next to "God decided", or "I guess it was" his time. But it doesn't change the fact that "it was his time.".
Or does it, did he actually have a "time"
At the funeral for Sergant Ron Harrison of the Hillsborough County Sherrif's office, his pastor said "we sometimes ask 'why' would this happen, why would God allow such a man, who served his community so valiantly, to be killed in cold blood. The answer, ladies and gentlmen is simply that God operates in ways that Man will never be able to comprehend." It either points to the idea that death is to be sudde
A recent survey released by the the Nielsen Media Research Group has revealed a stunning twist in what the American people like to watch. The survey lists Teletubbies, Barney and the Wiggles among the top shows from respondents ages 21-40, and CSI Las Vegas, Modern Marvels and "Einstiens Theories Explained" as the top shows for 3 to 8 year olds. Said Nielsen CEO David Calhoun "This is simply stunning to me, I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it."
Media watchdog groups are uncertain if the results of the survey are simply accidentally reversed or if American viewers are really THAT immature. Our money is on the latter.

The following is an onion-style news article about carbon dioxide, and threats to the environment.
Tonight at 10, Carbon dioxide is a colorless, odorless gas, but did you know it could be the biggest threat to the environment around? Tonight we'll show you a new study that will make you think twice about breathing out.
Good evening everyone I am Maurice Chavez. Our top story tonight is a new study that claims humans are responsible for the grave threat of global warming. Our own Jack Armstrong reports...
Global warming has been a hotly debated topic since global cooling stopped being provable, but now a new study lends credit to the theory
Something that I just can't get enough of is people who think they are "gangsters". It is so funny how someone thinks that a sideways cap and a sleeveless shirt, or oversized jacket makes them "hard" (whoever said "clothes make the man" was probably a greedy fashion designer and the slogan just kinda stuck.) as they scream about how tough they are, and how they have (or are going to have) more cars than us mere mortals can dream of.
I'm not talking about people who just dress this way, as I know a few and they are actually pretty cool.
I'm talking about people who not only dress this way, but they act like the world revolves around them and
I consider George Carlin one of the most brilliant critics in history. He was a politically balanced critic of follies of society that we have given more clout than we should. He was also the best at making fun of common phrases, which is the inspiration for this rambling.
First off "Hope springs eternal" What the hell does that really mean.
Grammatically, it makes no sense, Nothing "springs eternal". Something springs "eternal-ly". They will "live eternally"
Hope IS eternal, makes more sense. "Springs" is too dramatic also. I have a hard believing that an emotion can keep up the energy to "spring up" eternally.
Also, when a lawyer says "
I remember little about what happened. I remember some of those who betrayed, some of what they did to me, and none of what I did to them to deserve it. As the shock of betrayal sets in, I take stock of my surroundings: Dark, empty, and colorless. I am not sure if any freinds are nearby, or if I have any true freinds left. As I walk, I try to remember what I did to deserve being betrayed, what I did to them, and what they did to me. It takes me minutes to realize: It matters not what they did, chasing them is a waste of my time. I will not get back at them, though it would be a pleasure. It will give them yet another chance to toy with me. I

For all the coverage he gets, you would think that Bush truly is the worst president we've ever had. Sure we had the Dow up at 14,000 just 14 months ago, and we haven't been attacked in 8 years, but beyond that pointless junk, he's still the worst we've ever had...or is he?
For the good side: He has kept this country safe. You'll notice that we have not been attacked in 8 years, whereas during the previous 8 year administration you had the WTC bombings of 93, the OKC bombing, which could've been prevented had Clinton acted after bombing, and numerous attacks upon US interest abroad. A strange turn of events at a band concert led to the creation of a new form of music. A solo involving the cymbals. Local band member Laura Davlin did just that. In an incredible display of co-ordination, control, and what seemed at times to be blind improvisation. Ms. Davlin covered for failing guitar equipment and performed an act being called the "Hendrix of Cymbals". Local resident Alex Tberon witnessed the revolutionary performance.
"There was something about it that was just incredible. She went above and beyond keeping the rhythm for that really strange drumline, she stole the effing show."

Deep from the trench of your heart
I put them in my bottle
And pray they wont tear me apart
The barrage of attacks again and again
I walk around with the turmoil inside

My melancholy smile is my only disguise
Im trying to escape myself

Slowly filling up
With secrets abound
A yoyo of my emotions
Oh too tightly wound
Friends are starting to notice
As my bottle starts to crack
They fear the worst
They want the old me back
